EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT PROTOCOL

 

We will aim to see patients requiring emergency dental treatment as soon as possible. Patients are asked to take note of the definition of an emergency appointment.

Remember it is an emergency appointment:

• It is for conditions that you feel cannot wait until the next routine appointment
• You will be asked to come in within a given time slot (usually between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm in the mornings and 2.00pm – 4.00pm in the afternoons). You may need to wait as the dentist would be seeing you in between their booked patients.
• You may be seen by a different dentist if for any reason your regular dentist is unavailable to see you.
• The appointment will normally last 10 minutes
• The dentist will deal with 1 problem only
• If the dentist feels that your problem is not an emergency you will be asked to reschedule your appointment to the next available appointment.
